Archive for March, 2011

tuesdays=partydays

so i have off wensdays, so tuesdays are like my friday, or like my saturday..i only have the one day off so its not like a weekend or anything.  The sun was shining bright this morning and i knew that at some point during the evening i was expected to goto christines house and get photographed..so i wanted to wear something simple and awesome that would shoot well

Martin Margiela Lambskin Tee shirt.. amazingly sexy piece i wear very sparingly.. its from the f/w collection and something i also procured through the lovely people at staff u.s.a. and margiela.

But its still march so i needed another layer for in-store wear.. so i went to another reliable piece.. this ATTACHMENT jersey drape cardigan. we have this in the store now in black and in grey. http://www.riccardiboston.com.. its super soft and easy to wear.. i play with all day and go from wearing it this way, or open, or upside down.. or tied at the bottom.. its a great item for a fussy gentleman such as myself.

ive really been killing these shoes lately and dont wanna wear them out. i bought them off guilt of all places after seeing them on oki-ni.  now i may need to buy them at full retail in grey suede from oki-ni cause i wear these almost everyday. There DAMIR DOMA SILENT.

I dont accesories much, i think that finding one or two things i love and wearing them everyday works best for me.  I also try to find pretty masculine yet expensive items. The silver bracelet is a CHROME HEARTS filagree i bracelet with custom clip closure that i purchased about 6 years ago and have worn almost everyday since. The second is a HERMES colleir de chien in covered black leather.  I first saw a version of this bracelet in paris… but it was brown… yuck. When i got back to boston i asked one of my favorite clients who actually works for the HERMES in boston. She got the bracelet for me in black and held it till no tax day. She RULES.

The outerwear was a blazer from a small collection called FORME. its a gauzy linen 2 btn, i threw my BALMAIN vest over it for warmth… and that was my tiesday out fit.. i layer like a mother fucker.. 4 pieces on top.. all interchangeable. thats the only good thing about winter!

photo shoot with t.g. and comme des garcons, junya watanabe spring summer 11 for riccardi client

i was shooting  and editing product most of the day…it wasnt that it was slow …just that we had an appropriate amount of staff..  after i couldnt deal with the computer anymore(wierd i know cause im on it now) i decided to take some pics for one of my favorite ladies who lives in california.  This women is a serious comme head, and the store already sent her piles im sure, but she likes to get merchandise from me too because we all have different buys and taste! so i shot some stuff for her and also wanted to take some more pics illustrating some of the convertible aspects of the comme this season.

This is a comme des garcons reversible inside out dress…

This is a pretty amazing jacket….well 2 jackets that are connected at the bttm.. you can wear either fabric on top, and do all sorts of crazy stuff with it!

Triple layer shirt… this was the true concept of the season…… jackets shirts whateveres layered and connected to the back..each one van produce many looks.

Pretty Pretty…. junya watanabe navy jacket and comme des garcons grey pleated skirt

again…pretty pretty, junya.. one the most recognizable and fanous looks of the season.. most marketable.. we only have the one left in this color and one in navy.

just like garfield, i hate mondays. so i dress like a homeless retard

uggh…monday, so got a case of the mondays… at least i sold one of the last balmain ranger boots today!, from the website..which has been responsible for selling most of the boots! http://www.riccardiboston.com. so i woke up today knowing it was gonna be cold but hoping it wasnt gonna be too cold

i started with these pants

from the comme des garcons black stores grand opening… there the same shape that mainline does all the time, just a wee bit cheaper.

Then i put on my old stand by. this balmain ripped long sleeve t-shirt.. i got it from the store last spring right before i went to paris for f/w 11.. i sweat this short so hard, but really need to watch the ampunt i wear it… i have one customer who thinks its the only shirt i own…its just bad luck that everytime they come in im wearing it.

I then put on a comme des garcons homme plus hooded button down.  in the meantime i realized i looked a bit too “powerful” for this weather and situation so i changed in to nudie big bengts…which apparently there changeing the name of the next season due to market research

I then top it off with another dsquared sample sale jacket, there coats fit me the best…. this is a really slim cropped army green boiled wool snap closure pea coat.

i almost forgot about the shoes, which i wore in a attempt to be more spring-y  margiela replica moccasins in nubuck.

more fall…comme and junya for riccardi

This is my favorite look for the season.. i also bought a long pant in the same fabric!

Everyones saying that its the season of the cape, or whatever

a little clowny, but pretty, and runway, sooooooooo essential!

and then a tamer version …buy both!

cmon now…there has never been a better black jacket….ever

There was a pretty big group of these leather dresses.but all needed to be tried and closely examined… some where just too hard and complicated with no one benefiting from the shape.

Down Coats..a seperate collection of all down, most were unflatering moto styles, but this cape was amazing.

junya watanabe comme des garcons new at riccardi boston

we just got these junya pieces in…and i loooooooooooove playing with them!

Junya’s a beast. we all know it. if you dont learn it. if you dont like the clothes its because your stupid and you cant understand true beauty. these are unarguable facts..Junyas spring was stripey, and stripey, and sailory, my mom told me a long time ago that horizontal stripes do not flatter women, i agree, they dont, while comme and junya never try to make a women look sexy, or slim, they definitely can compound a pre existing fixation that women have with there bodies. so i bought only a couple striped pieces. and of course every ones wants the striped ones, or at least they say they do.

CLOTHES

so ive been looking at these bored girls posting mood boards and questionable pictures of themselves with references they googled a half hour ago..and started getting jealously motivated..

i live in boston Massachusetts … and work in a high fashion store everyday.. live and breath clothing…. im even allergic to certain brands.. im more of a victim them 99% of my clients! but i know a shitload about clothes.. and fashion. and history and art and art history, and i love it…but i live in boston..and people here dress like fucking shit not matter which way you cut it…and there fucken cheap..

thank god for asians!

anywho this is what i wore today to go get my haircut @ mizu salon in the “fashionable” mandarin oriental salon

So Clearly its still cold here..and i layer like a mother fucker…once called the patron saint of tasteful layering!

Damir Doma sneaker boots and Sweatpants. yes i wore sweatpants all around today ..thats probably the most boston ting about the outfit

Dior Homme f/w 11 angora silk open cardigan

Balmain sleeveless hoody..best purchase ever. will probably be buried in it..got my moneys worth after the first straight week if wearing everyday!

D2 quilted leather jacket…big ups to t.o’m. @ staff for helping out during sample sale

this is my calm comfy sunday outfit..

RODARTE HITS RICCARDI BOSTON. HARD

hi, like i said ive been really lazy about getting this blog off the ground because most of the time im working on the riccardi blog.but we had a malicous hack, and its been terrible…..i lost all previous postings!!!!!!!! so im a bit lder then allot of people out here bloging about fashion…and im so not hip to the whos who amongst pre-tween blogers of 2012. im also pretty sure bloggers is with 2 g’s but any fuck….i really should be getting more credit for what im ACTUALLY doing to transform the direction of fashion in boston..

So i brought RODARTE to boston. they say others stores were interested and they wanted to work with us to sell both collections.. i love working with them and find them amzingly talented.. we dropped balmain this spring and i needed another major collection to replace them. they couldnt be more diffrent.  Rodarte produces museum quality pieces that i think should be kept in ones family and be handed down generation to generation.  the clothes are way more wearable then balmain and have no interest in trend or season.

The spring summer collection really did hit me in an epic way… i just creamed over the wood and ming prints..

so far ive recieved some amazing stuff and we just got these in the other day!

yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. so yes..the prices are high ,i do not doubt that.. but the pieces are so easy. and lovable. like the cutest fucken puppies.

seriously, how can you get mad at this.. its amazing

anywho the sisters said that this week i should get 2 more peices from the runway…the amazing ming gown and skirt from look 1! keep posted to www.riccardiboston.com for more info..

The Opening Ceremony collection has been selling great!. The pieces are super cute and fun. Prices are awesome for any collection but compared to mainline there practically  free.  Most women but multiple pieces!

These are the strongest looks..were already sold out of the lace blazer…sorry! shouldve been quicker…and to all you women who said you’d “think about it”……look where you best thinking got ya! blazerless…ha
